Are we all melting
Here in my part of Kent the temps are ridiculously high, my poor torts are out before I get up in the morning 7am, and gone into hiding by 10am:0(
The GH has temps over 43c with the door and windows open, scary. How is it where you are?

Pretty warm here and like yours my torts are up and about early and then they go to ground until teatime. Think it's due to break later today which will mean less watering but let's hope it won't be the end of the good weather.

According to my TV weatherman I'm going to be melting on Saturday. S'posed to get up to 107F. I don't know how on earth they can predict temperatures, but they're usually pretty close.

wow ! that's volcanic !!! thunder storms here tonight - just in time to get the little terrier pricking up his ears an hour beforehand, so that'll be 2am, and then high pitched shrill alert system enough to wake all of the county for 1 hour and continue afterwards for another two hours circling, and fog horning whilst trying to dig himself under his basket to australia all the while the labrador will be soundo asleep the entire time and then have the energy of a road runner at 6am.

The rain is so lovely when it comes. So nice after the hot days. Probably all aware by now that I'm not a summer lover.
Solstice tonight and I'm looking forward to the days slowly getting shorter again.

raining here - been torrential and river in the garden - never ever had that before - ok exaggeration but the water is top surface flowing down the garden in rivets...where is summer (but not stifling hot you cant move without looking like you've been in a downpour and your hair looks like the middle of a tornado has struck it), CB

It's still very humid though. Waiting for a nice summer thunderstorm to come.

Just spent an hour watching grandson play cricket in a torrential downpour! In the end good sense prevailed and the match was abandoned. Where has the warm sunshine gone really don't like the grey gloom and tortoises are thinking of packing their bags and leaving once more green countries come on board!
