kathryn used one of these for several years
for growing toms etc it was placed in corner of garden so relatively well sheltered against the wind etc kathryn was quite young and due to her sight problem we felt the plastic was safer at the time it did the job but i do prefer our glass greenhouse now |

how about one of those sheds that have windows all along one side or do you plan on growing stuff in the greenhouse as well?
EDIT> scrap that suggestion a bit pricey http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.js...isSearch=false Last edited by Alan1; 07-07-2010 at 03:00 PM. |

How about buying a second hand one in good condition. There are usually some in my local paper & if you look on the paper's website you get to see the ads before the paper arrives. You could also try freecycle / ebay?

We had one from Norfolk Greenhouses many years ago. It was ok and even coped with being dismantled and moved to a new house and garden. The main problem was that the "plastic on a roll" would lift at the edges and had to be restuck regularly, particularly in the wind. There were no problems with ordering the replacement roll though. They were comparitively cheaper 20 years hence why we had this type and not a glazed one. The frame was strong and I actually only got rid of it last year.
