poor diet no vits or calcium and poor husbandry ie houseing .. is the main cause of this ..

Over feeding on good diet or rubbish diet causes pyramiding. And so easy to do too.
You have to stick to an amount you feed your tortoise and dont feed more. Really hard when they look at you with those pleading beady eyes<g>.

I use as much as can make a 'shell jacket'
