Another sand and top soil question
May sound an obvious, but why do people mix sand with the top soil? What are the pro's and con's

I understand it is to help create a better medium for helping them to thermoregulate. The sand makes a better consistency for them to burrow/ dig down in, it kinda holds it's shape better and breaks up better than soil alone....if you get me
Others opinions on this would be most welcome |

Also if you are mixing with top soil, sand is a lot cheaper to buy to bulk it out??

I agree with Alan. I did mix sand originaly but it did seem to get in Marly's eyes. Now I just just soil.

Thats what I have bought, I am wondering if the reason for sand mixture is just to alter humidity levels?
