Yeah that could work too. I've decided not to use a mirror as the UV would have to travel through the glass to hit the reflector then back out again making it worthless and even though at 4pm onwards the UV would not be much anyway it still might be a slight benefit to have any that there may be.

Going by UV guide a reflector doubles the UV from a bulb** so I think it's safe to assume that aluminium will be able to direct UV from the sun without losing any.

There is also that silver fablon type stuff I've seen in B&Q which is sticky backed plastic but I'm not sure how UV will work bouncing off that. I've seen polstyrene with silver on the back too in B&Q

I'm quite excited about this as it means my torts will be able to get sun from sunrise to sunset if they want it provided I can set it up properly as I may have to put up more than one

** = it says a reflector doubles the UV from a bulb but if you have a guard fitted it then cuts that by half again, so back to square 1 if you use a guard on your reflector
