To be honest the only time I had to take a tortoise to a vet was for chipping. I then used a box with lid. Newpaper on the bottom and a sheet or two over the top of them.
They dont need anything fancy, just dark and cool so they dont move around too much:0)
You dont want them warm and moving around:0)
