they should grow, especially the pansies. mine grew last january and february in frosty weather. they don't grow like they do in summer though so best to get lots probably and most likely the more sheltered spot the better they will do.
what I meant by grow them on was... just plant them now and grow them as much as possible before the growing slows right down instead of feeding them to the torts just now
