Thanks for all your advice, as you can probably tell I don't get on here much! Anyway I expect you are right about which type of pest I have
I'll change the substrate more often but as you say they aren't a problem to the torts my worries have been lessened as I personally don't find them annoying, I was just worried about my torts.
