I'm going for a low maintenance area at the moment as we're not getting any younger.
Have pulled out and trimmed back a fair amount and will be having some granite chippings going down. A tonne is due for delivery today and then we'll see how much more we need but I wouldn't be surprised if it'll be another tonne. Going for a zen feel to it with large pebbles, a water garden, a nice new Thai Buddha and windchime, etc.
I am pleased with the garden but I can always find more to do and we've been discussing emptying the tort enclosures in the autumn to pull them forward and planting some half standard evergreen trees behind, then getting the soil and planting back in. Quite a job if we decide to do it though.
