actually i have to disagree . these lizard bask excalty the same as all reptiles. it is not reconmaned fo have undertank ehat mats as these animals not have very good heat receptors under there belly and thats why undertank heat is not reconmended for thes enor is heat rocks. having lights in the day and off at night is very good for reacting the natural environment and many breeders use light methods to help with breeding them any manyother types of eyelided geckos. heat mats shud be on the sid eof the viv but gernally to have a cool and a hot side u can't use too big heat mats and so the ones used don't ge thot enough so a bulb helps to reach the temps.
