My torts eat their food at stages during the day, I keep it in the cooler end and give it a little spray with water before I put their nutrobal on, helps it stick to the food better, or maybe you could split their feed into 2 and give some in the morning, and then some later. I imagine the food would lose some of the nutrients, but then would it be harmful as in the wild they wouldn't always have lush green food.
