I do! The kids that live around here will flock to the yard if they see me sat out with one of the snakes. I tend to sit out with them on nice sunny days. Snakes don't need UVA/B like tortoises and lizards do, but it doesn't hurt them to get some rays occasionally.
I tend to find the younger kids are really interested, and the older they are, the more scared they are. There are always a few of the older ones trying to look tough by being brave enough to touch the snake, being shown up by little ones who are totally unafraid. The parents usually stand well back and don't get too close.
It's fun answering the door to Trick and Treaters at Halloween with a snake wrapped around my wrist and sweets in my hand, seeing who is brave enough to take some. I only do that with Righ, the royal python, he's totally bomb proof. The others would probably be fine, but Righ is the one I know best and is just chilled.
