I m the same Jan, didn't realise sterilised and if your baking soil is anything like my cooking everything would be killed off in a nano second !
Saying that I have only used it once outside and didn't like it. all hard lumps and was sooooo very heavy (soil not my cooking...but then again). I am not even going to use straw this year (hibernate not cooking...never say never !). I am going to try Alan's idea. Scotland have good ideas at lot of the time ! CB
