I completely agree with trying to make the enclosure as close to nature for the tort as possible. I used tortoise life as I thought it pretty much was soil and sand.. I'd be worried about using soil with Timmy as it could lead on to the same problem? Or has tortoise life got other 'stuff' in it that makes it worse than soil?
Do you guys just reccomended sterilised topsoil from the garden centre?
