It's averaging 37° in day and not dropped below 28° at night. Not moaning, but I couldn't live permanently in this sort of heat. I built a 300sq ft indoor area for the reds, set at 28° with 100% humidity. They've only been in it 4 wks. Seems to be going down a treat for them. I built caves in there and a pool. Hoping as time goes on it ends up like an indoor rain forest. It's the growing of foliage I struggle with. Not green fingered. I've got a rain system in there and white/blue and red spectrum for plants to seed and fruit. Palms, figs and grapevines are growing, but struggling with grasses and weeds. I just received some Bahia grass seeds from USA, hoping they grow. Does anyone know of any native south America weeds I could source out. I've looked high and low. Can get tropical bushes and trees no problem, it's ground cover I need, but such as dandilions/plantains/clover can't cope with the high heat and humidity. Substrate is 18" deep with good drainage.
