The cheese game is fabulous for getting their attention, training commands and tiring them out. let them see and smell the cheese piece (small) - tell sit - hide cheese - say seek or find - this takes a little while so show them if too long as bigger dogs lose interest - but eventually you can show them the cheese, hide anywhere in the garden and they should find it. Tires them out massively too as they need their instincts. Something you can do sat down as well. Both mine can seek out cheese from quite a distance away even if I hide it in plant pots outside.
