I've been thinking about this.
I've had Lolly since Oct 2010, and initially I though she was intelligent, but slowly I came to the conclusion that it's more a mix of curiosity and instict, rather than intelligence.
And she is incredibly curious about everything around her. I may even call it being nosey - she just needs to know and investigate. I think this is would look like intelligence until you get to know them better.
