Bite wounds of this type are very common with muds... and more likely to come from another female than a male. A big female...

I've never tested my water PH... incubating my second clutch of spottie eggs, so I think they are happy :)

I use either rainwater from the butt... or at the moment they get dechlorinated tapwater....
