I have 1 egg out of my clutch to still hatch, I don't know when they were laid, but can tell you, that 2 hatched 29th Feb, 1 on 1st March and 1 on 3rd March. Now this one has me baffled,...

Well, my eggs had obviously been in the run...

Well, my eggs had obviously been in the run longer than i thought, as got my first 2 hatchlings today, 1 @ 7g, and 2nd @ 8g..... no 3 has just started piping.... i am so happy.... xx :-P

The laying conditions are the same as they have always been, and she has laid fine...

I split them up after Mr Tortoise got her last time, and they will be seperated now for at least a year, then we will only put them together to breed. I know she is knackered and spent a lot of times...

Can tortoises have phantom pregnancy's, the reason i ask is one of our lady tortoises, dug a hole on Thursday, and just keeps going and sitting in it, or do you think she is going to lay eggs...

I'm going to keep everything crossed, This is her 4th hatch, and the first ones 5 out of 6 were fertile, 2nd all 8 were infertile, 3rd 3 out of 6 fertile, and we'll have to wait and see with these 8....
