Stubborn tort :)

Just finished a new area in the garden for my tort to stay out 24/7.
Up til now she has had a small wooden box that she would shelter in during the day in the warmer months only. No heat in it...

Thanks very much for that very helpful. Since moving to my new lighting set up I've noticed Bill ( he's a Hermann by the way) seems really lively compared to how he was under the mega ray....

Sorry for maybe a dumb question, when setting up a stat (ive never used one) with your halogen basking, do you place the sensor directly underneath it.

Unhappy Lost Ted today

Damn it, i lost my wee Ted today, out of hibernation yesterday and all seemed fine, just in from work and checked on him, sitting under the lamp no sign of life, very sad day
