is a cold frame just like a greenhouse but smaller??

closer to the ground the torts can get in but you cannot ( well your hands can but your body cannot )

we have green houses going for free all the time where i live.

yeah maybe, its a bit cold now.
Every week there is usually one in the ad mag that says free to any1 who will dimantle and collect, all sizes

it would be a bit expensive in petrol for me to travel up from the Devon Cornwall border to collect
