I wonder why and how people suddenly decide to take a tortoise and how come they dont get caught doing it?

One thing I can say is that people do connect people through websites,facebook and forums and can find out quite easily where you live,one lady the other day on a fb group put her postcode up on a thread about her torts,we have to be careful

I don't blame you. I wouldn't either!!

I wouldn't put my address on any sort of forum. I'm paranoid about dog thefts too. I have trellis' on my walls making it difficult to get into my garden and my gate is always locked and my front door.

I know if they want to get in they will, but you can deter and hopefully someone will see them trying.

I've made my garden like fort knox since having the torts. No one can see them out there. Most of my neighbours and even some of my friends don't even know I have torts!! :oops:

:lol: Mine is the same. Mainly for my dog as my torts haven't been out yet. :shock:
