Thankyou sandy, it does look a bit homemade :) might be worth gluing a large 12" ruler to a piece of wood and creating the sliding things x

Bev it looks very easy to make:)

You can buy them from Tortoise World on the 'net. It would be a wonderful device if torts sat still!!!

Thankyou Charlotte, I took a look on their website, £28 (and it does just look like a ruler stuck to a piece of wood lol, but if I glue another piece of wood along the bottom, the torts legs would dangle so it would be easier to keep them still rather then me pushing them against a wall where they can use their legs to push against you and them getting stressed lol here it is:

I had one for Christmas! Bev. I did make my own which was fine for little ones but my bigger torts just stepped off it lol So far I have only used it to measure torts who are hibernating!! (& yes it is just a ruler on the side)

My hubby has been given a new project to make one! He likes a project! ;)
£28 seems quite a lot for it, especially if there's postage on top.

Knew someone on the forum had made one in the past :) This is what Terry came up with http://www.shelledwarriors.co.uk/for...ad.php?t=23135

Wow that's exactly what I had imagined making one would be like, thanks Dan, I have lots of wood pieces in the garage and I'm sure work won't miss a 12" ruler lol, a project for spring me thinks :)

Emma - that's it get your hubby to make one :) x

That's brill Lynne, I'm going to make one, and will add another wood piece or legs to the bottom so the torts legs can't touch the floor, ofcourse ill make it wide enough so they don't fall off :) x
