Well I thought it was about time I put something tortoise related up.
As you can see these are only just getting going and the date on the top one is 9th November so who knows when the lazy little things will pop out.:)

Lovely, Gordon. Nice to see the start of new lives forming there. :-)
What sort of eggs are they?

Gordon 05-02-2020 12:39 PM

Well I reckon we should wait till they hatch which I've found with these can take months.:):)

You are in a pain in the proverbial at times, keeping me in suspense...
Hope they surprise you and hatch earlier than you expect.

Pancakes!!
I love them. Can’t wait to see the hatchlings. I’d love some but there’s no room at the inn for another species. :-(

Hubby is making new triple bunk tables to go in my study this spring so I can spread out the torts I have now they’re all adults. I would potentially have room to rehome one more female hermanns but a pancake set-up is a different ballgame altogether isn’t it, as they climb so well and need lots of hides.
With a tort room (which we ripped out the dressing room to become a dedicated tort room) and three tables in my study, I can’t see any more tables going anywhere as my table count will be up to 11.
Plus no more room for outside pens without digging up a Japanese acer and I don’t really want to do that...

I love hearing set ups ! I think we are a strange bunch in that way! sounds fab Emma.

I’m Aquarian (and a typical one) but I don’t mark my birthday and haven’t for a few years, Clare. Not because I mind getting older but because I don’t like having one, hated it growing up and realised I don’t actually need to have one, so we just treat it like a normal day - no cards, presents, etc.
It’s a reminder of many unhappy times. Instead I get treats on Mother’s Day and I accept that as I work hard to be a good mum even though they’re all so grown up now. My eldest is only a couple of months off being the age I was when I had him.

I love looking and planning for set-ups too. Have already bought what I need for the new tables.
