Is this a wild chrysanthemum? It grows mega tall and I've seen it with yellow flower heads...I did pick it out but it has come back ten fold now.

The first and last are not tortoise friendly.
Second one mine eat.
Sorry I dont know the names, but know tortoise wont eat the two.
The first and third are also invasive, if not kept in check:0)

The first one is an annual kind of willowherb. I forget which exact one but tortoises don't eat them and I find them a nuisance.

The second one is chicory. The stuff we eat in salads is a different plant. This one is tortoise edible and produces a lovely blue flower.

The third I think is common fleabane which is not tortoise edible. The plants spread by underground runners and it thrives on damp ground. If you pull if up you might find thick whitish roots. They tend to break when pulled so the bloomin' thing bounces back.

thank you Jonathan & Sandy, the Horsfields eats chicory like its going out of fashion - great big thick hairy talks and all, I can hear them a mile off _ I will let person know as they were adamant it wasn't and had paid for the plant - opps ! - . I have pulled up the fleabane (I actually love fleabane, isn't it Erigon flowers like little daisys? ) but this is weedy horrid and like you say just spreads. Always good to look up on tort friendly food the tort table also so will do - that web site is amazing. CB
