Hello

Hi, I've owned a Hermann Tortoise for about 6 years now after taking her in from a family member who didn't want her. She is about 8 years old now. I'm quite good at identifying weeds for her now, but always have questions.

She has lived in an outdoor house for three years now, this year I've built a new one after finding problems with my first attempt. She has just woken up without problems from her third hibernation.

Hello and welcome. My 2 are still fast asleep and wondering what will happen with the warmer weather.

Would love to see a photo.

I've not used an Internet forum for years, used to use all the time. I have posted a picture in another tread but it hasn't shown up. Just signed up for photobucket as that's what I used to use, I'll get some pics up soon.

Hello K.J and a big welcome to the forum!

Glad your tort has woken up well.

I change my torts' housing quite often, hopefully learning along the way. I realised that not all my ideas work out well so I try to observe what the torts make of it and work out how I can improve. I have plans for spring...

Yup, name stones are so the thing to have!!
We have well over 20 of all our pets, some of which now serve as memorial stones. :)

Great name, though perhaps not too popular after today's storm!!

Doris - how sweet.

On the review of the papers last night they were moaning about using names to identify storms. They were a bit grumpy about poor Doris being given such a bad name.

CherryBrandy 25-02-2017 10:34 AM

I know I wouldn't be happy with hurricane cherry B or my mums name. Numerics would be better and or roman numerals. CB

Doris is a lovely looking tort.
