Love these photo's. Remind me of a friend who had two of my Margie babies. She took arrival pictures next to slate coasters & again every birthday, its amazing to watch them grow.

Gerry looks great you have done so well with his growth.

Hello All...It's that time of year when I post Jerry's birthday picture.
We have now had him for 6 years.
I can now categorically state that Jerry is indeed a male!
He came through his normal fridge hibernation without drama and has been living outside since early May with no artificial light or heat apart from his two cold frames which he makes good use of.
He has mostly been eating the summer flowers and weeds that grow in his run and his wormcount came back clear again. He is still yet to visit a vet for any reason and remains a very happy, healthy tortoise.
I have managed to find his old bath and have used it here for scale.
I will weigh him at the weekend and add it to this post for reference...(334g)

He's starting to get a little sluggish. I had to dig him up for his photo! The nice weather we are having this week will see him back pottering around for a couple of hours a day. Won't be long before he's indoors under the lamps for a few weeks, then back in his fridge. Fastest summer ever.

He is a handsome chap! I’ve always enjoyed seeing his annual growth photo. Can’t believe he’s 6 already. Time flies!

A quick update on Jerry.
I took this quick pic of him yesterday in his enclosure.
He's eight years old now and remains a happy, healthy fellow. He's never seen a vet in his life and remains a much loved member of the family.
