Hedgehog family

Mum and babies (there were three babies altogether) came visiting one night. They came from our pond area so we presumed they had been living in a nesting box we have there. X x x. Hugs x x x

Argh so cute, I can't remember the last time I saw a hedgehog , use to see them all the time but not now

They're gorgeous. How lovely to have them living in your garden and such a great photo of them eating together. :)

Very nice we used to get the odd one visiting our garden but we have not seen one for ages now.
The dogs usually let us know when we have a visitor.

aaaaww Stellanne what a Saturday treat that photograph is. Hoggies are so wonderful. Did you see that programme that tracked them round regents park in London? They had a little clan of them wandering round like the wombles except in Regents park. We need some more photos ! CB x

It's quite tricky to get photos as they only arrive when it is dark. I will see if I can find some pictures of Tom. Tom was a hog with a cough and we took to a carer to get better, after first visiting a vet who charged 40ish pounds for an antibiotic injection!!
He came back to us when he was better and he spent all winter in a hibernation box under our bushes. They are fabulous, x x x. Hugs x x x

I love Hedgehogs!!!!

Like Julie7 I used to see them lots but now. Although I live in a town which is probably why.

I sued to call them snoghogs when little, well I still do:p

You are very lucky to have them feeding like that, great photo's thank you for sharing xx

Wow that's fantastic you managed to photograph them! And altogether too. There is one I have seen in our garden a couple of times lately. I'm not sure if it has a family or is just a single hoggie. What do you feed them?

Stellanne 24-08-2015 08:45 AM

The best thing to feed them is 'mother and baby' cat biscuits. I use Royal Canin.....please don't put milk out it gives them the runs x x x. Hugs x x x

I heard you need little holes in the fence to allow them to roam in and out - I haven't seen the little chaps in years in our area.
Lots of frogs though nearly nearly make up for it. They don't have the same effect !
Lovely photograph, seen any little babies this year? ribbet CB
