EquestrianBabe 30-03-2010 04:46 PM

Hi, are any of you interested in a baby Achatina Fulica? :D If you are, please PM me

lab-gang 30-03-2010 05:11 PM

An Iredeli (ired for short) is just that, and yeah they have light yellow shells and albino bodies....

A jade is still a fulica, but can have a yellow shell and albino body, or a dark shell and albino body also, so this may sort which you are meaning.......confusing i know ;)

The main difference really is the Jades when they reproduce lay eggs, and Ired's when they reproduce lay 'live' babies, so no eggs to incubate :) .....anf Ireds are a pretty chilled snail, and are less active all-round compared to some of the other species :)

Very interesting! But the common Fulica does have its good points too, they're brilliant eaters, interesting creatures, but the bad point is that they LOVE to breed :(

Absoloutly - they are active blighters, and chuffin munch monsters - once the food goes in it does not last long at all ;)
