www.tortoiselady.co.uk
just came across this and it has some nice info on her for tortoise owners, sorry if you have all seen it before x

She also sells the pre alpin foods, which I swear by to help to increase fibre levels when overwintering your tortoise. :)

I've just found the suitable foods list on the tortoise lady's website. That is going to go on my fridge. Or possibly in my handbag - most shops seem to sell plants or seeds of some sort at the moment. Crwban |

Can I just ask how long is the shelf life of pre-alpine? think mine is nearly a year old now but still got loads left as my 3 are only young |

It is a best before date which means that it is fine to use after the date but the quality is not guaranteed. This is the same for food that you buy in shops if anyone is interested. If over 1yr then I would probably use it but add it to other foods that are all fresh. hope this helps  |
