I'm not sure she can drive as can her hubbi
Mayb she cud try local dog kennels as doesn't need to be a breed

i dont know anyone personally that far up, but try googling " barrow in furness animal rescue " there is a lot come up, i see you do have a RSPCA kennels in barrow, but there is some around penrith, which i know is not to far, if she gives a couple of them a ring, they will defo know of someone, as we tend to pass on various animals as needed, so there is always a long list on hand of who will take what.
99% will insist on a home vist tho, before they place any dog, if your still stuck, get back to me

Hi and thanks for your help

Linds
Do u work for rehoming? I'd love a job helping animals

hi linds, i take more wildlife than domestic animals, but never turn anything away, even if its just moving it on, there are 100s of small rescue centres, run mainly from peoples homes, they find there own funds and form a huge network, so that if you cant help something, there is always someone who can ,

it is easier to adopt a child than adopt a animal from me!, but all the domestic animals that have passed thro my doors have all gone to really good homes

the wildlife is even harder:cry:, cos when they get released, i worry that they wont settle

but.... there is always something you can do for animals, feeding the birds, picking up and moving on injured animals, even taking a stray dog to the council helps, or if you have some free time why not offer to help out at a shelter

I almost started to work with the dog warden last year but was worried I'd get upset and bring the dogs home!! I'm soft!!
I'd love to take on rescued pets and care for them and then find them a good home
How rewarding!
Will start feeding the birds :)
