Hello Emma, I haven't chatted to you for ages, how are you?

emma_mcraf 09-10-2014 10:30 PM

Really well thanks Suze. Hope all is well with you and yours. It's my second son's 14th birthday today so I'm feeling stuffed full of food and choccy cake. :)

Oh yes I forgot your second son is the same age as Kian Emma. Has his voice broken yet? Kian has the strange voice thing going on at the moment and wondered how long it lasts before it finally goes deep? Sometimes he sounds like he's about to burst into tears other times he sounds like he has a sore throat. It's all very odd.

He's not quite there yet, Wendy. He's at that stage where it's not quite breaking yet but he sometimes needs to clear his throat as he goes all high pitch like a muppet!!
He is having growth spurts though, which he likes as we've called him a dwarf (in an affectionate way) since he was about 5. We've promoted him to Goblin now. ;-)

How's Kian coping with it all?

I've found the boys have been easy going through the adolescent stage. I'm half-dreading it with my daughter though. She turns 12 in December and I just have a feeling she's going to begin getting hormonal next year.

I've got that going on with my second son at the moment , he's not 14 untill November, but his voice has been going for a few months now. Just like Emma described it. He's bigger than me now, so I'm officially the smallest in the house now.

We don't seem to have the squeaky voice, well not a high pitched squeak anyway, just the odd one where he sounds like he's telling a really sad story and his voice is breaking up, when really he's talking about the weather, it very funny.
Kian is coping really well. He hates greasy hair and spots but surprisingly he is very laid back considering how he used to fly into a rage so easily when he was young. He seems to have matured out of it, thank goodness.

I find the funniest thing is, both boys now have deep voices and still call me mummy, not mum, it's sounds quite funny, but I do like it :-D
