My horsefield Flash was sick
 

hi guys my 1 year old horsefield tortoise flash was sick after eating his lunch.
it was only the once he sort of made a squeak before being sick.
He was only eating the same as he's had before and had no reaction to it.
I have bathed him and he drank plenty of water whilst in there I continued this twice a day for a few days to keep him hydrated.
He seems his normal self now but I was just wondering what could have caused this.

Welcome J to the site - hard to tell on this but probably foreign matter or food stuff partially which has rotted down and thrown up . with tortoises once down then usually stays there as their gut / stomach is slightly different and doesn't predispose itself to throwing up. I would keep an eye on Flash and make sure doesn't lose weight - sure he is fine though from what you say...Horsfields eat fast and clear the plate usually so go slow with his food ...CB
