Sex and subspecies pleaseeee x
 

Hi everyone....need help with these two lol!

Basically ive been offered them....Hermans

The first tortoise im unsure about the sex due to the deformed tail, but please say male as i dont want to have an excuse to bring home two lol!

Im sure that the second one is female...unsure on subspecies

Unsure on size as the owner doesnt reply very well :P The second is larger and the first is smaller......but u can see the size compared to an adult womans hand....hopefully :)

Also, is the second tortoise's shell looking okay? Im colourblind you see and cant tell whether its pink or just bad lighting?? haha!

Can't help with the sex really but the second pic doesn't show any pink that I can see

Both look female to me, she'll looks ok to me too x

Thanks people :) I hope your right Alleycat! Really dont wanna be 'forced' to bring home two lmao! I just think the first one is male because the tail look fat and the ana scutes are quite wide lol!

Both look female, subspecies , Hercegovinensis .

First is male. Second female. Cant remember which (& im not very good @ subspecies either!) but feel they are one of each: one THB, 1 Herc, think its the second that's Herc!! Not much help sorry :)

I'd say both are Testudo hermanni boettgeri :)

Agree with Ross :D T.h.boettgeri. First one looks male without a better picture and second is definately a female.
