Advice for transporting 5 y/o Tort.

Hello!

https://scontent-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hp...16&oe=55A5B0FB

Littlefoot is coming on holiday with me for a week. It's a five hour journey by car to where we're going. I've made a small table for her to live in while we're there but I'm looking for any advice for her car journey? She's a bold wee thing and is not phased by much, but I want her journey to be as stress free as possible. This is the first time she's travelled anywhere since we've had her.

Thanks in advance :)

Ally

Container with good fitting lid and air holes (not cardboard as it gets soggy)
Partially Fill with ready grass and tort, keep fairly cool and tort should sleep through journey but be sure to rehydrate with a bath and a water dish when you arrive and warm up as usual ( soil substrate gets muddy, no substrate and tort gets stressed)
Keeping warm will cause stress, cool will encourage sleep which reduces stress. I use a plastic reptile transporting cage like this

if you're taking the table with you then let the tort travel in it, it won't hurt without light/heat and if the car is cool the tort should just sleep if not wander around it won't hurt it. If you can't use the table then just use a box or plastic container with its normal bedding.

Thanks folks :) will take her in the mini table as we don't have a box big enough.
