Sex of my tortoises
As suggested on another thread I wonder if you can help me out. They both hatched August 2018. I have a suspicion they are both Male but would appreciate some expert opinion!

They look female to me too.

Well thanks and I am a little surprised to hear that. Is it usual for female iberas to be difficult to house together? They have been ramming and climbing on each other in the past.

I was expecting them to be males when you said about their behaviour, but females will mount one another and demonstrate almost male-like behaviour to show dominance.
I find they usually settle down and continue co-sharing just fine. Sometimes when they’re gravid they do this, but in your case I’d say one is a bossy madam. I find size has nothing to do with it either. My worst female for this sort of behaviour is the smallest! |

Now males are a different kettle of fish:0) they will fight until one is alpha male, but after that no problems provided they have enough space. I did have one young male who was a problem, so rehomed him to someone who needed a male for their females. And he is going strong:0) I used to have two males with my females, and they all got on fine. |
I would think two females too.
