Where to start :D

Well Redfoots are split into 2 main groups, a Northern group (regular Redfoots are in this group) and a Southern group (Cherryheads are in this group). There are 2 or 3 varieties in each group.
The Northern group is characterised by having a light coloured plastron with usually a darker diamond shape in the middle of the plastron. Their carapaces rarely become mottled (yellow spots other than the yellow centres to each scute). Their head colour doesn't match their leg colour. Their elbow spurs (it's a scale at the bottom edge of their elbows) are not very pronounced. Adult males get a very pronounced pinched in waist (they look like a dumbbell :D).
The Southern group is characterised by having a dark plastron with mottling. Their carapaces become mottled over 50% of the time (this is only with the Cherryheads in the Southern group). Their head colour matches their leg colour (this is only with the Cherryheads in the Southern group). Their elbow spurs are more pronounced. Adult males either get a very slight pinched waist or no pinching at all. Cherryheads also can have a bulbus nose (Roman nose) which other Redfoots don't get.
