Must be the daftest mole around he set up home in one of my tort pens a while ago and didn't make much mess so me being a softy left him to it.
However things changed and he started producing hills big time so action had to be taken. I put the hose pipe down a hole and gave him a bath :) so for a few days no new hills and I thought that was that.
This morning however he was back and actively digging while I looked on so ot came the spade and as soon as he started pushing up soil I pushed the spade into the ground and pulled out a pile of soil but no mole, now this carried on till I had a pretty large hole so I gave in and put the hose in it again and to my surprise up popped a mole which I caught and I'm sure you will all be happy I released in the field opposite my house.

CherryBrandy 05-08-2018 01:19 PM

Do you like the people in the field opposite your house !!! ? maybe there is a politician there.....

Adrian is super hooper cute, inspired name.

Fantastic photo G I almost want to put an image of him for you on a tshirt with the words 'whose the diggy' ! CB

Suze65 05-08-2018 01:39 PM

You big softy 😊 the world needs a few more ( softy’s , note moles )

tortydat 05-08-2018 02:00 PM

Well done Gordon that he survived capture as usually they are so stressy they die on the spot!

As I said he was an odd one he went under the tap for a wash and a rub down with a towel before his photo as he was a bit mucky :lol::lol::lol:

I didn't realise they were so small. He looks cute and sounds quite a character.

We always have a mole problem. Most odd because none of our neighbours around us have any mole hills! Never seen one though.

We have had the mole catcher, but because they breed so well I dont think we will ever be free.

What a cute little chap. I reckon he liked it so much in your garden he’ll be back.

I know what he is ordering!

Our mole man said they breed really well and that is why it is almost impossible to control if you dont 'move' them all.

Gordon - there are some films on you tube on what best to buy and how to use humanely. I'm afraid we are doing nothing as usual.

Oh ok, I did the same with my kitchen mice. Then I let them go, down the road in the secret garden, there’s potting sheds and a green house, a nice place for mice to live.

CherryBrandy 11-08-2018 12:00 PM

I don't think Jan meant that utube clip ! so funny , I miss JC.

You need to catch worms now !

Well after a lot of sitting quietly Mrs Adrian has been caught alive and has now been relocated.
With luck there are no more.

Yes I think they have - as well as mounds of earth there are tracks everywhere! I understand they are just moving under the surface for the worms. What I want to know is why my neighbours all around have none?!

CherryBrandy 19-08-2018 01:35 PM

Are your neighbours jasper carrot? We will know why then. CB

I think we've got enough in our garden to make several pairs Alan even excluding the half a dozen I smuggled over to Gordon's!

Sounds like a business plan. It can be your new breeding project. ;-)
We all know they thrive in Gordon’s garden too, so I’m sure he’d be happy to join your new business venture.
