She doesn't tend to watch us - she was posing for the camera.
Skinks have a tendency to be very shy and hide but Edith is very friendly and lets us hold her etc without playing dead (which is another common defence with skinks). She's really quite friendly, but as you say - each to their own :)

aww she's adorable! I fostered one of there little guys for a while a few months ago but it wasn't friendly and had a tendancy to run at me with it's mouth open ready to bite!
