About two weeks left until these hatch.
When I candled them I noticed that egg number 6 had twin embryos in it. I've never had twins before so im not sure of what to expect, reading old posts on here I understand things don't always end very well. I could see that one twin was a lot smaller than the other when I candled at 30 days, so it's not looking good.

I've not had twins before but I have seen a few people on here who have, I think you're right, some times one can be underdeveloped and won't survive, or it could go very well, they can be conjoined. Hopefully Gordon will see this and give you some advice.

I have had twin tortoises, and one was 7grms and the other 3grms. The smaller one lasted three months before passing away. The second survived ok.
If the hatchlings are more equal in weight then there is more of a chance they both survive. And possibly I did something wrong so that the smaller one didnt survive. As at the time I had no idea what to do.
If there is two in the egg, then when they hatch, you have to get something (I used dental floss) to tie between the two on the umbilical cords. I soaked the floss in diluted iondine. Then cut the cord between them. Not easy but quite a few twins have been hatched in the last ten years now:0)

My female lays fairly big eggs. Her hatchlings are around 15g
Time will tell I suppose. I have some dental floss and iodine.

Any idea if twins will hatch earlier than the other eggs in the clutch?

When my twins hatched I think it was normal time in the middle of the others hatching. Sadly the smaller of my twins only survived for a month but the other one is thriving and is now three years old.

My twin egg hatched but unfortunately the smaller twin was very very tiny and was dead when the bigger twin hatched.
So with the help of Gordon I tied it off with dental floss and cut it off.
