Terrapin In pond
Hi,
Just wondering if you need to report or re home a terrapin that is in a pond at work? Or do I just leave it..... Thanks, Row |
Hi Row
I guess for me it would depend on the conditions it was being kept in. Is UVB, food and a basking area made available to the little guy? If not I would report it so it gets the things he needs. Is it your work that's actually keeping it there? |
hi Row , how are you, Hows your new pad? I have no idea about terrapins in ponds at work - aren't they a bit of a menace in a pond? I use to work for a company who had ducks live wandering down the corridor. occasionally peeked in the office. CB

Hey CB,
New pad and new job are consuming all my time! However it is all good and getting there. Now the garden and new tort outdoor enclosure to plan. I have contacted the RSPCA and they said he would be fine, not really interested to be honest. I then contacted the local wild life trust who put me in touch with a local amphibian and reptile group. Very helpful and said he would be okay too and went into more detail. xxx |
oooh wow. you could have a 4lb terrapin in your works pond by the end of the year.! Call him knashers. Glad new pad is brill. Would love to see your ideas around a pen. Im doing lots of little gateways this year so they have to work at getting their food ! meany or what ! CB

The Terrapin will be fine. There are many local lakes to me in swindon that have terrapins in them. They get quite big and look in top condition.

Were you on the news Row? The diver got his catch in the end ! CB
