Fresh edible plants for a toitoise table
Hi guys,
Can anyone advise me on how and what I could grow on the toitoise table under fairly artificial light conditions with the recommended temp gradient across the table. I just thought that Tonto and Tullula would benefit from fresh plants to graze on whilst inside. Any advice welcome! |
i dunno bout growin ur own, but i hvve a alo vera plant on the cool side of the cage and also some grass :D

same here. A tray of grass (well 2 really so I can swap them) and an aloe vera just planted straight into the sand/soil substrate. I have a few and swap them also as they get eaten and squashed.

HI, :)
I have grass in mine to, but not edible plants as i found out they don't last very long as the torts did eat them very fast!!! So to add bit more colour i have a Yucca and butterfly palm in mine in pots tall enough so the torts can't get to them!! Here is a pic to show you what i mean!; http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/b...s/dinks006.jpg I hope this helps you!! :) |
i get a plastic tray and take a chunk of grass with dandilion in it and put it into the tub and put it in for my tortoise, she eats a bit then stopes being hungry... i only do this about once a week though because she is on a diet
