female x female graeca?

Hi everyone, this morning i found this graeca mating with another female. The point is that i always considered this one a female too. i notieced also a wide wet area around the two tort. is possible that for dominance a female can do this? Or am i totally wrong and this tort is a male? (in that case tell me why, it's frankly female for me)

thanks

I would say female based on scutes point downwards. ratio from bottom scute to top and keyhole is a female not a swinging tail in sight. Also there is no concave on bottom shell for male to 'get a grip'. Maybe female dominance or just off day. Suspect its wee too. They sometimes for reasons unknown wee on mounting. Shouldn't think its a marking scent thing but they just do. My spur lettie dislikes any tortoise, small or big, male or female. In fact im not sure she even likes me tbh. But I love her. CB

If they run with males, one might well be gravid, which female mounting female is perfectly norma:0)
If not then it might well be dominance, especially if the enclosure is getting to small and they cant get away from each other:0)

Ok thanks guys. I was thinking to sell all my tort, books and leave vet university if it was male, it simply can't be. i've already seen this type of lesbian behavior in t. hermanni but without any fluid relase, this seemed suspicious. glad to hear that pee is common ;)
