2 questions...

1, confirmation that Fiorano is a 'she'! Lol
And
2, The plastron appears to be cracked? should i be concerned about this?
She does seem to have grown pretty quick in the last month, from 97g to 113g in 1 month, is now at 79mm, I do not have the orignal carapace length :(

I have put the pictures as links, theyre just under 2mb each.

Looks female to me too!

And I can't see any cracks?

RacingSnake 01-10-2011 08:29 PM

In the third 'segment' up, there is an arc which looks like a crack? I mean I dont recall it not being there, but its not present on our other little lady!

I agree :) Looking very female. She also looks like a Dalmation Hermanns, T.h.hercegovinensis to me. Thats not a crack but a line in the abdominal scute. It happens quite a bit with Hermanns and is nothing to worry about.

Thanks Guys :D
And Dan, good to hear about the line!!

Hi Guys,
Almost a year down the line, and am looking for re-confirmation of the above...
Reason being that we caught "Fiorano" humping Valentino's face
I picked up Fiorano, and there were no obvious signs

Anyway, after separating them, about half an hour later, 'she' was back humping again , so I fed them which sorted that out for now, but almost immediately afterwards, yep, humping again.

So, 2 new photo's for identification/confirmation please!!!
(Fiorano is the first one, and is much bigger than Valentino, despite only 3 months age difference - both coming up to 2 years old)

Many thanks!
