... click on a picture in your album. At the bottom of the picture will be two lines of rubbish.. one starts http:// the other [IMG]. one makes a link to the pic, the other will show the pic. highlight and copy allo one of them. when you write a message in a forum, at the top are a some icons, one is a yellow square, which when you click says 'add picture' i think. click it and paste the line of rubbish where it says. hopefully thats it. you may need to fiddle a bit. it took me a few attemps to get it, but its not too bad. I cant wait to see him! My 2 Red-Foots are called 'Carpe' and 'Diem'. If you go to my page you can see my albums and see them

Did everyone laugh..that so funny.. i didnt realise how icy it was when i went to get a newspaper this morning and i nearly fell in front of loads of people in a traffic jam...would have been awful!

For pictures the best thing to to is put them in theor own folder on your desktop on your computer. Then go to your account page on SW and at the side on the right youll see mini stats, friends, visitors..there is another one called albums. go there and add album and down load pics from the folder on your desk top. you can do three pics at a time. Once have done that..

Mine are about 14cm long and about 16months old, they are not goign to be very big when they are fully grown though, only upto about 16inches i belive.

The busy one is called Carpe and the shy one is Diem. Carpe Diem means "seize the day" and is from a Latin poem. I hated latin at school, but now i find it really interesting!

A good way to keep an eye on their health is to weigh them regularly. I aim o weigh mine once a month on the same day. That way if their weight keeps goign up, you know they are growing. If it stops or goes down, you can keep a closer eye on them and maybe take them to the vet.

How come your not at school?!

Its probably better to feed every other day to prevent over feeding, but my viv is hot so i give them a little everyday as it all dries out, they also run about on the floor frequently so hopefully they will not get fat! I was told to feed broccoli and spinach minimally as its not good for them in big amounts. Dave thats sweet..do you talk to him much? aparently they like deep voices so i have to tell my son not to squeek so much near them..not that he listens to me How long is his shell?

    Hows your poo issue now?

Mine are Red-foot tortoises so they are a bit different as they are tropical, thats why they have a bit more fruit. I have planted some seeds too! mine are all looking a bit limp at the moment..you can get some from the shelled worriors online shop i think, i havent yet. I gave mine some watercress as the vet said they like it, i was really surprised they ate it as its quite hot, but all gone... have you got a mineral supliment for yours yet..it helps their shell form properly other wise you can get all sorts of problems..like it being soft or starting to rot or gettign really lumpy and growing at the wrong rate which is not nice for them. Diem after getting all clean in the bath went back in the viv and started eating some of Carpe's poo which i had not even noticed as they never poo in their viv...it was disgusting. apparently that is natural for them to do though...nasty, but natural. gross.

Yeah i went out in the garden and found a few leaves but nothing much really. Mine have the mixed herb salad leaves and winter greens one day, then the next they have pellets as they have lots of fibre and added vitamins and minerals and a treat like cucumber or a bit of fruit for variety. I may venture to the park to see if there are weeds there but they may spray them i dont know.

Thats funny, my brother had a salamander..it was HORRIBLE! it had this big face and looked like it was smiling at you like a crazy person all the time and it was soooo shiney..nasty. Tortoises are lovely, i just like the way they are so calm all the time (not at the vet though )..oh and they have no teeth! Apart from the Salamander(custard), at home we have only ever had cats..we used to live in another country and there we had a few dogs..and a massive garden for them, so its exciting for me to have the Tortoises They have been running about on the wooden floor in the hall (easier to clean poo off) at one point i thought i had lost one but he had gone all the way to the living room and hidden under the stereo...in all the wires and everything! Does yours like having a bath yet? Mine are starting to wiggle about less so i think they are starting to like it!

    Glad your enjoying yours!

I was moving some things about in my Red-foots viv today and because i was making a bit of noise i quickly took them out and put them on my magasine i had been reading.....less than one minute and there was wee all over the magasine and dripping on the table then the floor... but no poo! Typical I have only recently got my tortoises, but have wanted them for years..what made you decide ona tortoise as a pet?
