Hi Folks,

been reading the site for a wekk or so, as it's seems to be one of the best places for consistant advice. I'm hoping to get a tortoise soon. I'd like a hatchling (or 2) but think we might be rehoming one locally. I should be finding out details tomorrow, so i'll keep you all updated. (and ask lots of questions)

We currently have 2 rabbits, 1 cat, 1 cold water tank, 1 torpical tank & 2 axolotls.

Mark

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. On the tortoise front, I have managed to secure a rehome for next year. A friend of a friend knows a local rep of a national society that frequently needs good homes for the torts. They currently have a Salcuta (not sure on spelling) which we agreed would be beyond my newby status, so they recommend a horsfield or herman. They did point out the horsfields like to dig, which would be an issue, so I think I'll keep my fingers crossed for a hermann once hibernation period has passed.

Regarding the wonderful axies I have one wild type (Eddie) & one albino (Powder). Eddie is much larger (11") and Powder is about 7" - 8". Both are healthy. Hoping to upgrade the size of the tank as a Christmas present. Here's a few pics for ya...
