i went through to a garden centre today to buy an hanging basket liner (to use as a tort hide, great idea from here :wink: ) and was really impressed with their pet section. they are an immaculate garden centre and its always just nice to go and have a look around.. wont say name but it is the big one near Dalton Park (the shopping outlet). but anyway they have lots of marine and tropical fish and have a reptile section too.. and dont sell tortoises of any species! which i was pleased with too. but they had a tank with a few little YBS in and i just couldnt resist getting one, so i bought a couple of things for him and some mealworms .. MMMM and went home to get the tank set up and then we went back through to buy the little guy :D i cant post any pics yet because my parents hav just gone on holiday today and have took my camera with them but they get back next friday so as soon as there back ill be getting some good photos.
he is so friendly and when u open the tank lid just sits looking at u bold as brass and even if u pick him up he never tries to jump in the water.. really tame, a total difference to the last turtle i had (chinese softie) which bruceleetortoise will know isnt the frienliest of turtles lol.. pick her up and u risk losing a finger!! :lol: :lol:
anyway he is called Timmy the turtle :)
if i can get some pics from my friends camera before friday ill post them up..
