Tricky... do know a few...

But can I be really picky and point out an error with question 15? The book is called "On the Origin of Species" for some reason it bothers me that it is often incorrectly remembered...

I stand corrected and have amended it for you Merlin. :-)

I tested the quiz on my hubby who claims to know nothing about history and he scored 18, which I thought wasn't bad, so I think there's a few opportunities for educated guesses amongst the questions. ;-)

Thanks, to be fair I was being picky... most people remember it as the origin of the species which is very wrong really...
I will actually have a go at this soon...

Not a problem at all....I'm really picky when I know something to be right too. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. :)

Only 4 more days. It'd be great if a couple more of you had a go. It's not all British history either. I've gone for a good mix so that everyone could have a go. :)

Suze65
26-06-2013, 12:43 PM
come on people, have a go, or I might win just because no one else did it, and that would be like cheeting

emma_mcraf
26-06-2013, 04:48 PM
You have one other competitor so far Suze. :D

Come on everyone - you have to be in it to win it! :)
Mind you, perhaps that's the problem as people don't always want to/have time to set the quiz if they've won.

emma_mcraf
26-06-2013, 05:41 PM
We have a third competitor. :)

We need a few more though please. You never know how much you can do until you try! :):):)

For the first time ever I have had a go. I hate it when comps can be googled, as I think thats cheating. This has been the case in the past.
Your plea made me try:0) And I am useless at these things:0)

emma_mcraf
26-06-2013, 07:07 PM
Thanks Sandy. I really appreciate it. You weren't useless either - some excellent answers in there. :)

Anyone else ready to have a go? If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place! :D
I'm not sure how many more motivational phrases I can think of!!

I agree Sandy. I know very little about sport and my kids know more about modern music than I do, but I still had a go at those quizzes as I enjoy having an attempt and I know some of my random guesses have raised a laugh. ;)

Maybe I'll get a flurry of late entries. :-|

I would enter except if I did win, which would be unlikely as this isn't really my area of history, I wouldn't be able to do the next quiz as away in Iceland most of next week.

emma_mcraf
28-06-2013, 07:21 PM
Have a go Ben. If you win I'm sure people won't mind waiting a week until you get back to set the quiz, or perhaps someone will be willing to do it on your behalf. Either would be fine. :)
