we had fun putting this in the garden its the first decent size pond for my young yb,s I have 2, everything came from freecycle including the plants, someone gave us a lovely clump of water cress and we can have more if we want, I think they,ll like it they still come in at night though so I,ll have to get a net because its about 2ft deep in the middle.

just been given a 6foot tank so it will go in the conservatory as a indoor set up for the turtles thats a good size tank will have to look for a external filter now, the conservatory is heated in the winter as my birds come inside theres more light and room in there fo the tank than in the office its also dark in that room so they should benefit from the light, they are out in the pond today for the 1st time haven,t seen them I,ve got one of those kiddies fih nets to try to catch them tonight although I,m hoping they can stay out soon anyone else leave them out yet?.

Ann the pond looks great :D I was just wondering if you have a fence? Turtles love to get out of a pond and walk around.

so far they haven,t even sat on their log let alone come out, they couldn,t get up the side yet they are only tiny and have been outside in their previous little pond again they never basked on the rocks perhaps I just have very shy turtles, we will put a fence around the top though, theres about 3 inches from the water and the top and I doubt they,d climb that everything is well away from the sides, when they had land in their tank they never came out so we did away with it, I might try again with the new tank. because I don,t work I,m here all day and can see the pond from the front room and I,m always going outside to see they,re ok we have a lot of birds around here so maybe thats why they don,t come out maybe they will when they get bigger they are last years hatchlings.

its about 2 ft in the middle they,ve been outside the last 2 nights and seem finr i,ve seen them sunbathing on the bark but as soon as they know your comming they,ve gone but I fed them outside and the foods gone so I guess they,re happy if they are then I am, the lovely big clump of water cress is so tightly massed they sit on top of it, everything FREE just how I like it. :D :D :D
