I have rehomed a 3kg hermanns and she lost a back leg in a fox attack - she has a resin 'ball' so as to lift the area and protect her stump, nothing stops her - she moves around perfectly well. A truly beautiful tortoise, who has suffered terribly but is now thriving, one of the most friendly tortoises I have.

Josh, why has this tort not got some resin on his plastron to lift him? May be worth mentioning to his owners?

We have a little marginated, Chorlton, he has all 4 legs but only uses 3. He was in a bad way when we got him, but now runs around like a mad man.
